Simply input your zip code and view your local weather, including a radar image of the surrounding area. Know your weather, before it hits. ? Take notes: What was happening when you hit that perfect (or not-so-perfect) shot? Did you have good shoulder position? Were you feeling kind of tight? Did you do something differently in your stance that improved your drive? Take note! Never again forget about those small things that happen before, during or after your round. ? Once you hit a ball, the speed and distance are displayed on the LCD screen of the ES12 while the information is also displayed and stored on your smartphone. ? Share your scorecard: A great day on the golf course is even better when you can share it with others! The ES12's integrated scorecard function allows the user to log their scorecard in real time, save it for future comparison, and even share it on Facebook, Twitter, and by email with your family and friends. ? Need help with club selection? The Course Caddy gives you the ability to input the distance you need to hit your ball. By pulling all of your logged range sessions, the ES12 will make a club recommendation based on your past performance with each club. ? Battery life: The ES12 is powered by a standard 9V battery (includes 2 - Duracell preferred). The standard life of a 9V battery in this device is about 16 hours.

Best for high handicappers
I've had this product for about a month now and I have very mixed feelings about it's performance. Obviously, you will disappointed if you are expecting the ES12 to perform like the launch monitors you see at Roger Dunn or Golfsmith, but if all you want is an fairly accurate estimation of ball speed and distance based on launch angle, then this is the instrument for you. Doppler radar merely measures the speed of an object, so to measure distance, you need to add launch angle to the equation, which is input as your iron selection. This is estimation is only accurate to a few degrees, depending on whether or not the angle of the face of your iron is equal to the angle that is default to the machine. For example, I use a 62 degree Lob Wedge. The average Lob Wedge is 60 degrees, so my calculated distance will be off because my launch angle is 2 degrees lower (or higher, depending on how you look at it). Granted, at that distance, 2 degrees may be negligible, but a few yards in...

Easy to Use
Well worth the price! Easy to use with the iPad/iPhone such that you can e-mail the session file to someone. Will attempt to transpose the file into Excel. Will inquire as to whether if the session files created by the iPad/iPhone will be saved to the laptop when (ES is closed for the holidays).
For $20K less, not a bad product
Purchased the ES12 after very embarrassing experience with SwingTip. The SwingTip sensor escape out of the club and flaw 40 yards into Rio Pinar CC driving range and also went up to my rooftop while I practice in my backyard.

ES12 just sitting on the ground and not going anywhere! I did had issue pairing the ES12 with Galaxy S III partly because of poor instruction. After talking to ES12 Techsupport and I was able to pair them up properly. What you need is holding down the club button while press/ release the power button few times and release both button (During the Bluetooth discovery from the Android app).

Only couple years into the game, my goal is to hit the ball solid or become a good ball striker. I've try slow motion video, various grips, sensor like swing tip to x-ray and improve my game. Can't afford a $20K Trackman while ES12 using the similar radar technology which $20K less.

Since this is low end product so I didn't have high expectation...
